Albuquerque Academy is one of New Mexico’s top private schools, regularly ranking among the top 200 private high schools in the country. Founded in 1955, the school’s branding was in need of modernization. A growing and forward-thinking school, the Academy wanted to reflect their innovative personality and stand out from outdated “private school” branding while drawing inspiration from their local region.

The resulting logo mark is unlike any other private schools. Weaving a technical design with mosaic patterns reminiscent of Spanish tiles or Native American pottery, the mark hints at the school’s roots while facing boldly toward the future.

Using the branding elements from the new mark, we created complementary logos for the school’s public programs. Implemented across campus and beyond, from signage to merchandise to flags to marketing materials, Albuquerque Academy’s new logo is the fresh new face of excellence in education.

Every year, Albuquerque Academy hosts Think Summer, a seasonal day camp offering interdisciplinary courses and enriched recreational programs for children in kindergarten through 12th grade. K2MD had the pleasure of designing the evolution to Think Summer’s annual catalogue. Mixing fun, childlike illustrations with smile-inducing photography and cute language, each summer we create an engaging guide that invites families to join in the fun, dive into new educational experiences, and make memories that last a lifetime.
