challenge.
One might think it’s impossible for a startup broadband business to compete with the big national internet service provider brands. After all, they collectively own the lion’s share of the market…with one exception…the rural market. That’s exactly the niche Continental Divide Electric Cooperative decided to fill. After all, bringing power to rural New Mexico is what they excel at. CDEC hired K2MD to help them build a broadband internet brand from the ground up.
the identity.
It all started with a strong name, which was influenced by the red lightning bolt in the parent company logo. RedBolt Broadband was born. We then created a dynamic logo featuring the red bolt of lightning which was leveraged as a primary graphic for the entire program. The aggressive red color and the powerful iconic bolt graphic was applied to everything from the brand identity to the website to vehicle graphics and collateral. It worked! Business is booming (or is it kabooming?) either way, it feels great to compete with the big brands and win!
